need audio drivers for xp on toshiba P505D ... ... i was wondering if anyone has had any success downgrading this laptop as all of my drivers are working except ...

i was wondering if anyone has had any success downgrading this laptop as all of my drivers are working except the audio device which i would love to get working but all the audio drivers i have tried ive had no luck with if someone could give me some ideas of what to use i would be greatful

can anyone tell me what correct audio drivers to use for this machine as i just installed windows xp and tried many and none of them work please help

Code2958, just wondering where you were located, as I cant find any listing of your model on the US, Canadian or European Toshiba websites. I can find the satellite P500D's but no 505D.
Anyway, have you looked into your devices in Control panel and gone to the device manufacturers website to find the right mobile driver??

yes i have gone to device manufactures website and they dont have any drivers there but modem drivers the chipset is conexant and the sound controller is IXP SB600 no matter what i throw at it no sound

I too would like to know if this problem has been solved. Vista has me at my wits end with this laptop and I want to install XP Pro.

Has anyone put together a successful set of drivers?
