Dell Inspiron 8600 D-dock port replicator, will it work under DOS?

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 without the serial port and printer port on the back and want to know if I were to use the Dell docking station or Dell port replicator is recognized under DOS?

I have some older programs that use DOS and I need the serial port and would like to know.

Thanks,

Ko

The dock is supported directly in the BIOS so yes it should work. For instance, the PCI port on my dock works in DOS.

I have a D/Dock for the XPS M1710.
