maaaan,

the ONLY thing keeping me from getting one is the off-center touchpad and numberpad...... and I have an 8662 and love IT! What's the performance improvement vs. an np8662?

Sorry for the delayed response as we were closed for the Yom Kippur holiday today. The 8690 is a big step forward from the 8662, as it is configured for the New Intel i7 Clarksfield platform and Calpella Rig processors. It is also compatible with 1333 mhz memory. In short, it's the fastest 15" laptop in the world. For more info, check it out at https://secure.pctorque.com/system-c...x?SystemsID=58.
