With the extra warranty that you have, I would say 1200-1500USD. Hopefully you'll hit the high end.
cheers ...

Thank GHN for the help! I was hoping that I could get $1700 for it so that I can pay it off otherwise I'd have to just keep it. Well, maybe I'll just put it up and see what it gets!

If you put it up I bet $1200 tops. Santa Rosa is two generations removed. 8700 SLI is beat by many single GPU's. Notebook value drops like a brick. On components alone not even $1000 but a little extra because AlienWare and they have their hardcore fans.

What I have found is that most folks on NBF want stuff for waaaaaaaaay below what it is worth on the open market, imho.

There's always SOMEONE out there, that is looking for an exact configuration though. I once sold a two year old Alienware notebook for $1000

And yes I believe if you waited for the right buyer $1200 could be exceeded. I was throwing out what I thought was a reasonable price to generate a reasonable interest that would facilitate selling it in a timely manner before it loses even more value. I might not be 100% correct but I am not far off. $1700 while possible relies on the borderline mentally challenged or complete ignorance of the buyer. That can happen but risky finding that sucker who was born that minute. ![]() qhn and I do not agree 100% give a number just for fun. ![]()

I agree with powerpack and put it around $1K. Even at that it won't be an easy sell because the 8700 will discourage a bunch of people. For comparison a few months ago I sold a M1730 with M9800GT SLI for $1500. It was a lower end proc but it's really the GPU that gamers are looking for.
For the $1700 price tag people can buy a brand new systems with better specs at that price.
