I dont trust garbage collection based SSDs which is optional on Indillinix barefoot drives. Right now if you had the money to blow the agility ex 128gb (SLC model) will yield the absolutely highest performance per buck. I personally use Vertex drives which currently can max out the SATA2 connection which is really handy transferring files between drives and makes for really quick load times.

OCZ site says the Agility EX only comes in a 60GB flavor. The Vertex EX has a 120GB option. I guess there both SLC.
Yikes $1300 for the Vertex EX 120GB. I only paid $450 for the Intel G2 and that's 160GB. I'd don't care of it's SLC. Way too much.

Yes Raid can be faster.
When set up in raid 0 - striping the data is spread across the two drives

I own an Alienware m17 with ati 3870 crossfire, can I upgrade to the 4870 crossfire without causing any harm to my comp. I would also like to upgrade my cpu from core duo p8400 to a cpu that better suits gaming. I am running a 32 bit system.

You cannot upgrade to the current 4870s being advertised with the M17x. It uses a MXM 3.0 slot and I believe the M17 is MXM 2.1. You can upgrade to the 4850s MXM 2.1 cards but they are not easy to find.
As for the processor you can get a P9700, T9900 or x9100. They are all virtually the same just power consumption is different and the P9700 which uses the least amount of power is a tad bit slower. Just stay away from the QX9300 with the M17. Too many reported problems when gaming with those procs. Good Luck!

So how close to the estimated shipping date do these ship? Mines says today but I'm not counting on it.

if it does not say "Boxing Stage" yet, I doubt it shipping today.
But I found the online tools for Dells status updates can be delayed.

You're going to get the dreaded delay email where they'll give you an option to cancel. Did you get the P8600 proc?

I believe that and the P8600 are the most popular because of their price.
