No I'm going to wait for now. I prematurely sold my M17x, I won't do the same with my SSD and qx9300. I do plan on making a decision by Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.

I've been checking out the HP Envy today. I like the aluminum coated body but I don't like the buttonless touchpad.

If your talking about that email from today the $1999 deal they've had for a while now is a much better deal.

I am still hunting down the SSD dirve, and will likely go for some 4 GB DDR3 Sticks in the next while.

Seen them as low as $ 250.00 in Flea Bay

When buying ram I always go for quality over quantity. If I had a use for more than 4GB of memory that would be a different story.

On the plus side for then ENVY you can outfit 8GB of 1333 cheaply since there is 4 slots. Real shame what they did about the 4870x2 I hope they dont blunder up the Geforce 300M

The only real beef I have with the M17x is they did not have 4 DIMM slots,

There has been a similar blunder with the Envy 15. It was initially advertised with a E2E screen. Then when people found out it wasn't HP changed it on their website. I just love big business!

Anyway one of my wife's friends works for HP. I'm trying to see if I can get a discount on one.

I have followed the ENVY launch from hype to paper launch and expect my unit any day now I have yet to see any info regarding the E2E type display in fact I was expecting the poorer quality 768p screens found on all 15 inch pavilions but was a little surprised to see the 1080p screen considering the weak GPU it has. I'll be able to do comparisons with the M15x as soon as it arrives.

Let me know how the Envy turns out. I don't think I'm replacing my T60p until next year. I want to see the new lenovo systems.

On that note now that I sold my proc, 1066 HyperX memory and SSD....I reordered the system. Probably sold my stuff a little too early. I still have the HyperX 1333 memory which I plan on using.

I read some bad things about SSDs and RAID so now I don't plan on going that route. I did go out and buy the Intel G2 SSD everyone has been talking about. Too bad the biggest size is 160GB. I wanted to see how that compares to the OCZ summit drive I have and the Samsung PB22-J SSD.
