You are browsing within the review sections of our forums. Content within these sections reflect consumer opinions of laptops. Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). Help us build a better laptop database by submitting your laptop review.

The Win 7 Upgrade shipped form MS today

Also tried the game Crysis on the laptop

Default settings were all High for the game, and it seem to handle the game well.

Definitly noticed the fans kicked into high speed after a min or two.

So it took 3 phone calls to Dell Canada Spare parts and they finally were able to quote me on the J246M 256 GB Samsung SSD drive that was listed on the Dell USA site.

$ 479.99 @ Dell.com

$ 849.49 @ Dell.ca

that's a hell of a mark up

but they have it in stock.

have to think about it

I get get them on Ebay for $ 500.00 or so

Man Dave, the exchange rate is on the Canadian side, so taking that in consideration that is already a good %%% markup from previous year.

Go USA then!

cheers ...

Credit cards companies are robbing customers left and right .. and retailers! They force retailers like DELL in this case not to accept credit cards outside their home office, since it would impose an exchange fee on top of what DELL (passing on to the consumers) would have to pay for the transaction fee.

Family/Friends stateside?
