As of today we have...

1. Changed the design since we launched already. Instead of a 100% we went for a more narrow centered theme. What do you think?

2. Added a live chat button to http://laptopbatteryfuel.com. This lets..
a. The user initiate a chat with us when they need help
b. Us see where the user is shopping
c. Us initiate a chat to the user to help out if they get stuck.

What is your opinion of the changes?

Only see the Live Chat "off-line" with the ability to post a message to be called/mailed back -> that is good!

Ha - you caught us the ONE time both of of the people with the chat client on their machines stepped away. The timing !

I use live chat on sites whenever available. IT's very easy to talk to people on making a purchase decision. Wish more sites had it.

Thanks Steve. We do realize it scares some people away. But we are on the trial and have probably closed two deals because of it. They might have bought anyways but this allows us to remove any fear or doubt during the purchase.

This chat software is great. I can tell where you are and where you have been on the site, and even proactively chat with you if it looks like you are having trouble finding something.

Our soft rule right now is to wait for someone to be on the site for at least a minute before we start trying to offer help. I equate that to a couple of minutes in the real world - like how I like to be treated.
