Can't install ZA on Windows 7

I just performed a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my HP Pavilion dv9823cl / 2.0ghz AMD X2 / 4gb / 500gb laptop. When attempting to install zone alarm firewall, i am presented with the following error message:

"You need to upgrade to Microsoft Windows Service Pack 1 (SP1) in order to install Zone Alarm"

I get similar, though not identical, error messages when installing AVG free, and other firewall software.

Are there no Windows 7 firewall solutions out yet, or am I doing something wrong...all current updates are installed.

its not compatible with Win7 (the OS detection function, rather, the software may run on it fine), easily enough, you would have to wait until they updated it

but the Firewall built in to Windows from Vista on is kickass enough if you use the real configuration tool instead of the simple configuration tool (aka use Windows Firewall with Advanced Secuirty), theres no reason to use another one.

Totally 2nd-ing this statement. Other than with Avast and SpywareBlaster as AV and Anti-Spyware, Windows Firewall rules for me

cheers ...

Very true. However, I like using Avast. (Just a thing w/ me. )
