boot issue

Got a HP ZE5375 for cheap - It would not boot the new HD w XP OS - So I went to the HP service manual, ran some diagnostic drills. I ran the, "remove all but one RAM module" drill, and it boots and works fine. Problem: now I only have 256 RAM. I reinstalled the second RAM module, and it will not boot. Back to one module, it boots. Please help. Than

Put the working stick of ram on the other slot and see. If it works, you have a bad stick, if not ... well.

cheers ...
