hi all,
I have a problem installing xp64 on my notebook (dv7 3020ed). The system is provided with windows 7 x64 but i don't like the OS, allso it has a lot of HP junk installed on it, witch im not planning to use. I'm using this pc for my work when im not at the office. (webdesign e.d.) Now i have tried to install xp x64, but i couldn't find a sata driver, i tried to set ahci to ide but the bios does not allow to change the settings. I have tried it with an other hp raid driver on a floppy but it didn't fix my problems.. Do you have any idea how to fix this problem? I would realy like to fix it, because i bought xp x64 and i can't reinstall windows 7 because it is pre installed.. so i have no CD. Sure i could delete the programs, but i want a clean install. Hope you can help me. Tycho |
