Alienware Respawn
Just a thought, if you haven't completely re-imaged your laptop, you might just need to apply the respawn patch for the MBR (Master Boot Record). Which you should be able to find under the Drivers & Utilities section of the Alienware site. You will just have to enter the OS you are using select software and then Alienware. This will write the boot F10 option to the Master Boot Record and you should then be able to access your hidden partition.
Once this is done, you can use an imaging application to create an iso CD/DVD of the boot patch application and hidden partion that should be bootable. New Question: Does anyone know how to rebuild or update the hidden partition? |

Another option is to slipstream a Windows Install and add the drivers etc ahead of time, then when you restore it has all the drivers etc already there

bacially slipstream process makes a copy of your windows istall CD, than allows you to add the drivers etc and create a new Windows Install CD
If you have the OEM Windows disk it should create a CD that will install and activate with out any issues I seen the programs for XP, and Vista sure there is or soon will be one for Win 7. And the progams to slipstream have been freeware
