AWESOME.... What now??

Soooooo, I finally received my new M17x Last night. It was definitely worth all the hype and three weeks of delays. My question to you folks is, which drivers I should look to update to make sure this thing is in full gear (Component and version would be appreciated). I mostly play WOW, AION and a few first person shooters. My machine is configured with the following;

• Space Black – Anodized Aluminum
• Intel® Core™2 Duo T9600 2.8GHz (6MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB)
• ATI CrossFireX™ – Dual 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 4870
• 17-inch WideUXGA 1920x1200 (1200p)
• 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
• 320GB 7,200RPM
• Slot-Load Dual Layer Blu-ray Burner (BD-R/RE, DVD±RW, CD-RW
• ExpressCard Digital TV Tuner
• Alienware TactX Mouse

Which OS are you using ?

The GPU drivers (lastest) are always a good ideal.

there really is not much else unless you upgrade / re-install your OS.

There are two camps out there as far as "updates" goes.

Some feel if everything is working don't mess with it.

Others like myself tend to do updates as they come out.

I tend to check Dells website now and then for any updates

I also believe you can sign up for an email notification from Dell when they have released any updates for your laptop.

there is a AW patch for Win 7, make sure you download that

and I have found all I needed for a Win 7 install was the Chipset Drivers (I used Vista drivers) GPU drivers, and that patch for the control center operation.

I believe everything else installs from Win 7 drivers database.

Since you seem to be the first AW m17x with the ATI cards

Looking forward to seeing your benchmarks with it.

We all been wondering how the ATI cards stack up Vs the GTX280 cards here
