There are some good guys on this forum

Has anyone else ordered a new Area 51m 7700 Notebook with the 17" WideSXGA 1680x1050 LCD w/camera since the 26th? If so can you post your Phase status here?

Been in Phase III since then.

I’ve been in phase 4 since Monday 30 May 2005

Got another email and this is what it says:

“1- AREA-51M 7700 5.2B GREY 17" SXGA+ W/CAM
> ..................... Expected Date: to be announced”

But you look at there phase game and this is where I should be.

The inventory that will be used to custom build your PC has now been inspected. Please be aware that a back-order situation might or might not exist in this phase. If a back-order situation does exist, it should not impede your order's progress. "

I think there sitting on my money to collect some interest

Just checked AW website and if you ordered a Area-51m 7700 stock today (2 June 2005) with no changes, it will ship on the 20th of June 2005.

That's fast by European standards it took me almost 18 days to move 1 phase.......to stage 2.

Try that for a test of patience.

Phase5 Thurs 2nd of June
Phase6 Fri 3rd of June

Now at 15 days and my system is still not built.

AW needs a new parts buyer, I wouldn't let my stock deplete this far down. Now they have to adjust there shipping dates on new orders to over 2 ½ weeks.

I've moved up to Phase 9 today so here is the out come so far.

holy cow. what happened joy? I figured that you got your system and just left us like most people do. what kind of backoreder was holding you up?

No mate....I've just been quietly waiting.

Rachael told me that there was a back order problem with my 2gb memory.Although I doubt this;as when I asked to change to 1 gb of memory(to get the order moving again)she said it would make no difference.Also then I'd be back at stage 1.

Unsurprisingly,I opted to wait it out.

Reading between the lines,I think there was no backorder,I just think there manufacturing dept is massively oversubscribed.(Obviously I don't hold customer services responsible for that.)Either way Rachael told me to ring back on Thursday(tomorrow)and she'd put me on priority Friday.
Anyway the phone call wasn't needed as I moved to phase 9 earlier than expected,hence the thanks.

Joy Division were the old order......thank god they're not new order.Bernard wants gassing for his recent murdering of Transmission on Later with Jules Holland.

Anyway,thanks for the intrest lads.
