Got my replacement 3200 today. Not the whole kit, just the 'puter itself, no battery, and a few small telltale scratches on the case, indicating it's a refurb. But it does what the first one didn't, which is to connect and maintain a connection on my wireless network.
So far, so good. Bootz |

Hello everyone. I too am a proud owner of this fantastic Ferrari 3200 notebook, but I have run accross a problem that I would like to receive help with.
I have an older model of TV by Philips, and I would be very interested to use it as my second display, but unfortunately it just shows me everything in black & white. I don't believe that there's any problem with the TV itself, as normal channels work just fine, it's just the EXT1&2 that are receiving their signal from the notebook through S-Video cable (with the SCART-adapter) that doesn't want to use colors. I have tried all PAL/NTSC options, and they present no changes at all. Does anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it? (Is there any definite difference with 4 or 7 pin S-Video cable? *doesn't believe that would be the cause*) Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

I like to ask, has any Ferrari 3200 owners flashed their DVD Drives firmware to become region free?

[quote=snorre]No, there's no region free (RPC-1) firmware available for the Panasonic UJ-825S drive in the Acer Ferrari 3200 yet AFAIK. I use DVDIdle Pro instead, since that also includes DVD Region+CSS Free

Is there any way to manually control the brightness of the 3200 screen? Display under the XP Control Panel doesn't seem to be much help.

My Ferrari is showing a Mat****a DVD drive, too. Do they really replace four of those letters in that brand name with asterisks?
