I think i've pretty much decided on the notebook, but im having trouble reaching proportable representatives and the prices seem a bit high. ABS unfortunately got rid of the Asus model, and those bastards charge tax to califas. Powernotebooks.com does not have the widescreen model.

R & J tech has the M6N (Ne) and offer up to a 3 year Asus warranty for $130. (1 year is free). Several people on the forum have ordered from there and are happy with the results.
