I just got my 5690 with a UXGA screen. I didn't realize if you use the screen at a lower resolution the screen starts to get fuzzy. 1600x1200 is a bit too big for me. Would 1280x1024 look good on a SXGA screen or would it be fuzzy also? Also is there anyway to fix the fuzzy problems with software or should I just get a SXGA screen?

1280x1024 is the native resolution for an SXGA, and native resolution always looks best on a screen.

You might be able to but it will still be fuzzy and stretched awkwardly as they are different aspect ratios...SXGA 5:4, SXGA+ 4:3

if u keep the same aspect ratio then the screen will b clearer

uxga ratio being 4:3 or 1.3333333333 - lol
from 1600x1200 u can go to 1152x864 or 1024x768

I've never used a screen running at 1400x1050. Is it weird at all? Also isn't that resolution for wide screen monitors? Will I have trouble getting games to run at that resolution?

What other resolutions would a SXGA+ screen run at? Just thinking that games like Quake3 or Call Of Duty won't be able to run at full screen with SXGA+...

nope 1400x1050 is sxga+, wide is wsxga+ @ 1680x1050

it will run at all resolutions supported by the gfx card, if u increase the res the desktop will become larger than ur screen

i run quake3 at 1600x1200, generally sxga+ is not a supported resolution in older games, just use 1152x864
