Best Buy Alienware Area 51-M

I really want to see the 5670 in action before really deciding on what to get and I know that Best Buy sells Alienware. Plus, tehy have had pictures of the Area 51-M (5670) in their weekly ad. I was wondering if anyone had maybe seen this laptop sitting in the store at any local Best Buy Outlets.

I have seen their big desktop gaming rigs, but haven't been to the store lately, so I was wondering if maybe (hopefully) they got are carrying the laptops to actualy touch as well. Thanks for any information.

No, BestBuy only carries the Alienware desktops from what I have seen.

I've never seen them at the So. Cal. BB's either, per what Adam said, only the desktops. Don't they actually specifiy that they only sell the Alienware notebooks via internet sales? You can go into the store and do the order there but it's still ordered online. :P

Man, we should just make the "Location" field in the user profile mandatory... WHERE are you located?

Why do people ask if there's something near them, and assume we all know where they are in the world?

Oh, well I wasn't asking specifically if anyone had seen them in the Phoenix, AZ area (where I live). I was merely asking if they had been spotted at any locations around the States. If they are seen at one, that can only mean that they will probably be popping up elsewhere.

Sorry about the confusion...I didn't mean to cause any.
Thanks again.

Ohhh, I'd missed that in this post. I'd originally read it so fast that I thought he said "Bay Area" somewhere but it was just the laptop name.

I almost answered 'yes' because if you don't specify the only default we can all assume is somewhere on the planet.

and not here

I'm not trying to be too sarcastic or like a jerk, just getting punchy from too long a day. So if any offense is taken then I apologize because it's done in good fun not malicious spirit.

You will RARELY see an Alienware laptop in a BestBuy because they are considered a 'custom' computer from BestBuy, just as all the Alienware computer's are and tend to only carry a desktop demo. If your in a large area, you should check anyway if your close by or call because I have actually seen an Alienware laptop in a larger BestBuy.

Point of order

Now I could be wrong, but The alienware area 51M is acutally a 5660, without hyperthreading.

What area are you in? I'm live in Scottsdale, work near Phoenix/Tempe. If you'd like I can meet you in a public place...I have a Sager 5650 you can look at.
