Wireless notebook mouse...

I've been looking for one of these for a while.
I used to have the Kensington mouse, but it has a problem with sticky buttons.
I read a review for the Targus mouse, and the reviewer said it was crap.

Now I'm wondering about this Logitech:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...=7734,detail=2

Anyone used this? Is it too small for use as an everyday mouse? I don't want a portable notebook mouse per-se, only a wireless mouse with a USB wireless receiver.

mx700 has a great big WIRED wireless hub that is exactly what I want to avoid!

if I buy a lappy with a bluetooth internal card, can I use the mx900 without the charging/bluetooth station?

Yes, I use the base station with my desktop and the internal card on my 3200. You can use the same mouse on both mchines then and not have worry about the receiver at all. Sorry, I didn't know the USB receiver was big on that model. Check out Microsoft's mouse if you go radio. I'm pretty sure it has a small receiver and seems to be a highly regarded design.

I'm using a Labtec one that works great. The USB receiver stores inside the mouse when not in use and has decent range, perfect for a laptop. I bought it from ebay for $7. Here is a link to one exactly like I have. Hope this helps!

thanks...
The MX900 looks good if I decide to buy internal bluetooth... but $100 for the bluetooth card + another $75 for the mouse seems a bit much.

The Labtec... how small is compact... would you still choose to use it as an everyday desktop mouse?

The labtec size is good and not too small by any means. I would say it's 3/4 the size of my Microsoft wireless optical desktop mouse and I really like it. I get used to the size and then my full-size one feels too big.

I have the microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard. I like the mouse, it has great response for gaming. However, the keyboard leaves something to be desired. The hub has to be facing it directly for the keyboard to output the right keys. which can be a big pain in the ass if you're trying to use it on your bed. However, teh hub is small and good-looking. I don't mind it at all.

I've had the kensington pocket mouse and currently have that logitech mouse. The kensington was easy to carry around because the usb adapter goes right into the mouse, but the logitech is more powerful and responsive. It even works well for me in doom 3 and ut2004. Wish it had an extra button but i can't find any wireless mice that dont have those stupid usb hubs with more than 3 buttons.

Hey AgentSim, I got that same logitech wireless optical mouse, only in the color Blue. It's awesome, I recommend you get it. I play games with this thing and I never notice that it slows down or anything. It's been perfect so far. You can find it at newegg.com for about $30ish.

EDIT: and yeah it has a USB adapter that sticks out about 2 inches. I don't mind though. doesn't get in the way because my lappy has 3 usb ports in the back.

I think Logitech's would be decent. I have their desktop wireless mouse and it works great.

Wish it had a damn on/off switch for when I'm not at my PC as this thing eats more batteries than it should because it's always on.
