My bios version as apears on boot is:

BIOS Revision: V122 1.00.10
KBC/EC Firmware Revision: 1.00.05
VBIOS Revision: VER008.017M.097.000-2004/05/05

Is it all up to date?

And so I understand the 3 Bios/Firmware stated on boot, the first one is motherboard, what about the other two? raid? graphic bios?

PS: With all the treads and confusions about bios why hasn't sager created a page with the several bios available, stating new features, bugs corrected and new issues etc? It would be so easy! put a disclamer on top and that's it... Or if sager won't do anything maybe someone here on the forum can? A sticky with all the info and latest bios download...? just my 2 cents...

My Bios is:

BIOS Revision: V122 1.00.10
KBC/EC Firmware Revision: 1.00.F5
VBIOS Revision: VER008.017M.097.000-2004/2004/03/29

It seems that other people have a more up to date bios.

Could someone please email me the most recent bios?

Thanks

infamous_pb@yahoo.com

Yeah! I wish Sager would just post their BIOS on their site!

Well, I emailed Sager and they sent me a BIOS. Since everyone keeps asking, here it is:
http://home.insightbb.com/~joshjacob/879BV10.ZIP

After the flash and it reboots, press Press <Ctrl>+<C> to quit BIOS update again. At the A: prompt type "h8-f6" to update the system firmware.

It changed my BIOS to:
BIOS Revision: V122 1.00.10
KBC/EC Firmware Revision: 1.00.F6
VBIOS Revision: VER008.017M.097.000-2004/2004/03/29

I hope its not breaking any "rule" here at notebookforums....

Angst! is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
I seem to have an older version of my video bios, mine is ver008 011.001.068 - 2004/03/10

This may also be the cause of a new problem I encountered when I finally noticed the ctrl +c after flashing and entering h8-f6 which updated my kbc, and enabled the fan modes finally.

Now however, I have a serious problem. When I enable the fans, my temps on mobmeter drop way down (which is beautiful) but I'm assuming my cpu temp is skyrocketing because it's giving me everyone's favorite ungraceful shutdown with complimentary beeps before turning off..

I intitally wanted the fan mode enabled because I hoped it would counter the artifacting at default gpu clock speeds, and I wouldn't have to do the underclocking (which thankfully, still rectifies the problem with no noticeable lag on the video card in games)

Has anyone else updated the kbc and then had this problem while running the fans in turbo jet engine mode? Anyone have a cure? Could it be because my video bios isn't seemingly up to date?

I'm kinda screwed, since my warrantee with sager ran out in May, I do however have the Warrantech three year still, i'm ready to just have them come pick it up and install a new mobo, since that's what sagers been doing for everyone.

Here's the best question I haven't seen asked here:

What does the new BIOS do that upgrades/increases the BIOS that <insert user here> doesn't have ?
