Clock Speed

When looking at my system specs using dell's website, I noticed that it lists my clock speed as 600 MHz.

I have a 8600 P-M 1.6 GHz, 2MB Cache, 512 Ram etc.... Is a clock speed of 600MHz normal for this kind of laptop?

what clock speed are you talking about? I'm guessing that you mean your CPU? If so your 1.6ghz dothan processor clocks itself down from the full 1.6ghz to 600mhz automatically.
