Pacaya is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
I do have the 2200bg, and I never thought of just updating the driver. Thanks. It was the management program that gave me a headache - would not recognize my card - but on the other hand I just use the XP manager because it works best with my AirPort Express (which is boss, by the way).

And can someone please PM me the new 3790 BIOS?

Thanks,

P

Is there any OFFICIAL way we can get BIOS updates for our 3790s?

Updated - 30/12/2004

The DNA 3.5.4.12 & DNA 3.5.4.12-LITE are out at http://www.dna-drivers.nl/viewtopic.php?t=4608
The Radeon Omega Drivers 2.5.97a are also out at http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php and it seems that they've fixed some wide resolutions issues (the reason that made me swap them for the dna release)

All based on the official Catalyst 4.12 ATI drivers

I'm surprised you guys haven't gone straight to the manufacturer's site.
For instance the Intel 802.11b/g 2200bg card's drivers should be at intel's site and be the most up to date.

Also, what type of bios does the laptop have? AMI? Award? Phenix? and who produces the mobo? Go straight to the manufacturer and get the updates.

Also, from my experience, Windows wireless manager sucks being that it is not specificly designed for that network card, just a universal manager. I'd put the Intel wireless manager to work and I bet you'll see even more improvement in you signal and less problems.
