Hey all - have any of you had issues with the wireless drivers? i get a blue sceen of death when i try to update ad-aware that's caused by the intel wireless driver. i've also had windows report that my system recovered from a serious error caused by the driver. i've also had trouble with the latest 9.03 driver when playing battlefield 2 - every hour or so i'll suddenly lose connectivity with my access point. when i click repair i get my connection back and i'll be good for awhile. this never happened with the original driver i got with my sager, but it's happened with both the generic 9.03 and whichever are currently on the sager website. i'll probably just go back to the driver i got with the sager, if i can find the cd. has anyone else had any problems?

pcmcia/card reader updates

hey folks ... i was wondering if there were any updates for the card reader? i really want to access my 2gb sd card through my card reader instead of buying a separate one.

Great question. I'd like to do the same with my Sandisk Ultra II 1GB.

No problems here. Let us know if you need a download for the driver.

3790 Bios

Hi guys!

I have a niggling problem with my 3790 as of late and I thought here seemed to be the place to ask.

Most times when I boot my notebook (2/3) it boots windows xp as normal, but sometimes (the other 1/3) it gets stuck on the bios screen, and beeps non-stop until you turn it off at the power button. It is especially bad in hot weather.

This makes me think it's a cooling issue, but this is not exclusively the cause, as it seems to be a bit more random than that (still does it on cooler days, just not nearly as often).

What do you guys think? I'm thinking it may be bios specific or something, but I'd really like to get it fixed, so any opinions are appreciated.

Nevermind, a bios reset seemed to have helped a fair bit.

Glad to hear it! Keep those bios files archived. Sometimes the latest isn't always the most optimal. That way you can go back to what worked if you are ever in this type of jam again.

Does anybody know if it's even necessary to install the Chipset Drivers? I will be reinstalling Windows some time later today, so I'm wondering about just how necessary it is. Also.. why has Intel not released an update to OUR SPECIFIC Chipset since 2004?? Ours is among only two or three or so that have been excluded from 2004. If you look at the readme's/release notes of the chipset drivers for our chipset, you will see that somewhere along the way, they simply dropped support for the chipset in the NP3790, but support continued for just about all other chipsets affected by these drivers...

Hey - i just got myself a 2gb corsair 133x card (overkill, i know), and explorer froze when i tried clicking on it in "my computer." is that a function of the card reader driver? i guess the latest one linked to on the first page of this thread doesn't fix it? i'll try updating it anyway, but if anyone has any info i'd love to hear it...

...Í haven't seen any work arounds either

I would be totally interested in a work around. And these days, 2gigs is not overkill anymore. Especially if you want to shoot pictures at full res. That's when a card like that could come in handy. Anyway, here's hoping...

Intel PROSet/Wireless software updated! The driver is still the same, altough the site points to a new 9.0.4.0 version!
