Fatal Error during installation

Got this error when I tried to install Farcry and NFSU on my 9860. Doom 3 on the other hand installed just fine. Anyone know why???

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation

Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information

In both cases the install shield claimed it could not find/write to a certain file which did infact exist on my notebook. Any suggestions/info would be helpfull
