Lid badge replace/remove
I've always been a fan of custom case badges, but the big E on my 6811 is not shaped like any I've seen. Also, I'm not sure what's beneath it. I want to make sure I can put a clean looking replacement badge before I try peeling it. Has anyone removed the big E from the center of the lid?

No, but I want to know what your planning on putting there.

My brother has a plotter/printer that does really nice stickers and vinyl cutouts, so I could do anything. I don't want to find out the surface below is all jagged after I peel the logo. Another issue is, it's on there pretty tight.

Yeah, I noticed that. The sticker/decal must be embedded into the high quality tungsten lid of the notebook. Honestly, I don't like the whole back at all, wish it was all one color. I am not a big fan of putting stickers on my notebook either, but I think I may do this one, because it looks nice: http://www.hackerstickers.com/produc...e-hacker.shtml But the whole "e" thing bugs me. I was planning on getting the white one and putting it under the "e" right above the hinges. HD, loving his notebook, hating the look of it. |
