You are browsing within the review sections of our forums. Content within these sections reflect consumer opinions of laptops. Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). Help us build a better laptop database by submitting your laptop review.

TSFroggy is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
Compman55: It's decent, but it's nothing to write home about. You'll get a couple hours of battery life just running the internet, but that's about it.

UPDATE: As cool as this laptop is, I've decided it's not enough. I'm going to take advantage of ibuypower's 30 day money back guarentee and return it for a future mobile solution, namely Turion or Sonoma.

Bummer Frog. Hard to see what's not to like other than battery power. A-prox when do the spirits think the Turion or Sonoma might be available. I'm preparing to upgrade to a new lappy. Thanks.

January 19 for the Sonoma, Mid 2005 for the Turion.

Yeah, it's a bummer, and I love the laptop... the only thing is the gfx card. It's just not powerful enough.

Guess I'll wait at least until the 19th and the Sonoma. I'm heavily leaning toward a Centrino. I like those Uniwill Centrinos with the ATI 256MB graphics. I need to sell the 8887 first anyway, and I want to get a new battery for that before I do so I'll have a "complete" set, though the 1 3/4 hour 8887 is no better or worse than the current crop for the high-powered lappies. My 8887 reallllly performs well for a 2-year old high end system.

256 MB for a Radeon 9700 in a Dothan computer isn't any better than a 128 MB. The difference would be negligible.
