Wink Widescreen / 700m Desktop Wallpaper

Hi there.

Does anyone know any good resources for cool widescreen (1280x800) res wallpapers?

I just bought a 700m and want something more interesting than the Dell desktop wallpaper. Also, ideally I'm after something cool / minimalist, rather than lame photos of Anna Kournikova / the latest riced up BMW.

Thanks.

Also, if anyone has anything interesting that they are currently using as their desktop wallpaper on their 700m, please link to the file. Thanks!!

Hi,

There are plenty here if you look through for the 1280 x 800 widescreens:

1280 x 800

I'm using this one at the moment:

Nice one here!

You know what I mean. I basically don't want some spastic photo of a souped-up car / anime girl / baywatch chick etc.

Keep the suggestions coming! Thanks.

Eskimo, what program are you running to get the icons at the top of the page? I can't figure out the difference between all these software programs from Stardock and others. Also, noticed you have Homeworld 2. Great game! I just wish it worked on the 700m. Is that what you have? If so, how can you get it to run?

You can use a program like ObjectDock, AquaDock, or YZDock. I personally use YZDock, as I found ObjectDock to be too glitchy, to the point where it was unusable. I haven't used AquaDock, but I hear that its a lot like YZDock.

This what my desktop looks like now:

Most of the icons on the dock came from www.wincustomize.com. You can also change the backing of the dock so that it is clear.

Sorry - I've got an Inspiron 9200 - why won't homeworld 2 run - it used to run fine with my old P4 1.7 Desky with a 32 MB Geforce 2 card...

N.B. - Just had an idea - do you get a message saying the processor is too low or something - try going into the CD and run setup - for some reason that works...

The dock is mobydock
