USB Device Not Recognized
Well I was happily in word today, when all of a sudden, the Device Uninstall theme kicked in (de do) then a message poped up with my USB mouse - USB Device Not Recognized. Now in device manager all I get is Unknown Device and my USB mouse no longer works. I have verified that it is not the mouse.
Can anyone shed some direction? Thanks |

Try uninstalling that unknown device from the device manager then plug in the mouse and let windows redetect it. If it doesn't run the new hardware wizard. (and don't mind my signature unless this happens on the d600 or 600m
)

ok, so I shut down, put in the factory installed HDD (5200RPM)
the mouse came up no problems, I shut down, put back in my HD booted and all is good with the world again...any thoughts on WHY! |

Too bad your mouse doesn't have a firewire connection, besides a friggin USB, that sounds like a pain in the a@@.
