I just spoke with the owner of Integrated System Technologies and he said that the Z71V has a WSXGA and the Z71A has the WXGA. I just odered one and he said that it should be out to me by the end of March. I can't wait. Kind of wanted the Acer 8103 with the x700, but I don't believe the 6600 is a bad card. The price for the ZV1V is great also.

Could you possibly fill us in on the price you were quoted?

We are due to receive 45 Z71V's in mid March. The units ROCKS! Unfortunately, the hard drive manufacturers are lagging with the release of the SATA notebook drives ( other than Fujitsu ) Seagate and Hitachi are looking at an end May launch on the SATA drives. The units are equipped to support both PATA and SATA drives ( the unit contains an adapter to switch from PATA to SATA drives )
We have performed some extensive testing on the Eval unit we received from ASUS, I think this unit will be their top seller until the newly revised M6NE/M6BNE hits the streets with the 915 chipset, expected release date is end April/beginning May

Actually Smilepak, that is a typo. The unit is 13.6 x 9.0 x 1.12

We'll get that corrected, thanks for pointing it out

Still 1.12 is still thin....

13.6 x 9.0 x 1.12, how is that size compared with Uniwill 258 or 259 i wonder. Can't wait for this to release, I am so getting it.

By the way, you said you guys are getting it mid march? Hmmmm...temping..

This is thinner than the Acer 8100 series....temping

How does the 6600 on this compare to say a 9700 pro? Any benchmarks?

is it just me, or does it not seem possible from the pictures that this unit is only 1.12 inches thin... i'm lookin at the backside view of this and this pic of someones dell i6000 which is quoted at 1.52", i dont know if they include the screen lid in that as well, but whatever.... looks remarkably similar based on the port sizes...

i6000...

z71v...

again... maybe its just me...
