Left speaker crack - 4750

There's a crack on my not so old 4750 in the left speaker (next to they keyboard). I'm assuming its from carrying the notebook and holding it on the front sides. Perhaps the weight of the notebook is putting too much strain on the whole chassis, having caused the crack. The crack hasn't gone to the side of the chassis yet but it seems to be expanding.

Should I send for an RMA or does warranty not cover this?
Thanks
