Rubber pegs

My notebook is always on the move, and today I notice that some of the rubber legs on the bottom are missing. What should I do?

Call/Email Sager and they should provide them to you for a reasonable cost. If under the 1 year warranty, maybe even free.

rubber slot covers

I can't find the slot cover for the right side. I might see if they will send me a replacement...if its not cost prohibitive. I will let you all know the details.

yeah that is kind of annoying that the rubber thingies are not very solidly secured. the cover for my serial port on the right side falls off all the time, but at least I can put it back on easily. the rubber feet on the bottom haven't fallen off on mine yet but it is clear they tend to get pulled as they nick against parts of my laptop bag when I put it in the bag or pull it out. I don't know what to do to prevent them from eventually falling off. I think it is just inevitable. I guess I could investigate better glue?

yes, it covers both the serial port and the extra USB port on the right side near the front. It is a rectangular piece of rubber with space for going around the serial port and a little piece to go into the USB port a little.

FYI - Sager techsupport gave me wrong info on side cover

Here's what I replied. I hope they respond positively...

Dear Techsupport,

That's not true, please revisit this matter. I recieved my Sager 3790 with rubber covers on both sides of the notebook. The right side covers the serial port and goes partially into the usb port.

Once you verify this, please let me know what it would cost to recieve a replacement set.

Thank you,
William Baez

I don't think there is a cover for the left USB ports. I know there was a cover for the media card reader (which they don't make anymore) and a cover for the usb/serial port on the right side. Regarding the rubber pegs, just email Sager and they'll send you replacements for free. I got the small round pegs and the long oval pegs from them.

So unfortunately, if you really want the side cover its going to take some begging. I am going to stop here. what I really need is a sleeve for my Sager. However, its good to know that, for others here, they have been able to get the bottom rubber pegs/feet replaced. That is a critical part and Sager seems to agree. nuff said, eh?...
Cheers

there was never any covers for the left side USB ports. surprising they regard the media card cover and the USB/Serial port cover on the right side as just for shipping. They are nice to have but easy to lose.
