It's here--Coffee Tumbler Review and Benchmarks inside

I woke up this morning, had some coffee in my AW stainless steel tumbler (while checking the forums) and decided a review of this accessory needed to be done.

Ordering
Ordering wasn't as easy as I thought it would be for a coffee tumbler. Actually, it was just a misunderstanding. I ordered the tumbler through the sales department, so I could receive the 10% discount (gotta save a buck). I ordered it and a backpack at the same time. When I received my confirmation e-mail it said the backpack and coffee mug. As some of you may know, AW offers a mug and a tumbler...and I wanted the tumbler. It was too late to call AW back that night, so I had to make sure I called them early enough, that a coffee mug didn't ship out. Turns out, after contacting AW, that the word tumbler and mug meant the same thing...so they got my order right the first time. I'm just a dumbass.

Phases
I guess you could say it went from 1-14 in a day or two. I guess they just put me ahead of everyone, when they custom built this tumbler

Shipping/Packaging
I received the pack and tumbler on the morning of the 4th day I ordered it. The Fed-Ex guy met me at my door as I was walking out to go to class. Pretty damn fast shipment.
The packaging quality was enough for those Porceline Midgets DB keeps around his house. The packaging may have been overkill for a fabric backpack and a tumbler. The box was filled with styrofoam peanuts and the mug was in another box for extra security/protection.

Initial Thoughts After Opening
It is a pretty stylish mug. It has a stainless steel "cup" fitted into a clear plastic shell with Alienware printed on it. The cup comes down to a point on middle of the base of the plastic shell. The Alienware logo also reflects off of the stainless steel "cup"....so you see the printed logo, then the reflection of it behind it.
It holds 16oz. of beverage...be it beer you wanna keep cold or coffee you wanna keep warm. The space between cup and the plastic sleeve offers some added insulation (air), While there is double wall insulation of the cup.
The handle could be beefed up some, it is not as ergonomical as my other tumbler. The lid is the exact same as the other tumblers that I have seen. It is not leak proof....so don't turn your mug upside with McDonald's coffee in it over your crotch. <<those flames are from the crotchal region.

Complaints
Actually, I don't think it keeps the coffee quite as warm as my other mug...there is not that much of a difference though. Also, as mentioned previously...the handle could be beefed up some, so it feels like your holding on to something.

Benchmarks
I was going actually see which mug kept coffee hot the longest and make a graph of it for you guys and girls, just for the hell of it....since this post is futile anyways. But, the thermometer I have at the house, doesn't go up to boiling of course. I guess I could have stolen a thermometer to measure past 100c out of Cell lab.

I can tell you that it takes about 30 mins, before the coffee doesn't scald your mouth and you can sip on it. It stays warm for quite a while.

Final Thoughts
I know there are a lot of AW haters out there, but if I was asked whether or not I'd buy another tumbler from them...I would say yes in a heartbeat, no questions asked. (I'd buy another computer from them too). When I walk into Starbucks or any coffee shop, heads turn and eyes become fixed on my Alienware mug. btw, I think I spent more time on this review than my computer review.
