Welcome to the For Sale/Wanted section of Notebook Forums. This section is here to facilitate trading between Notebook Forums members. In order to facilitate fair trading and a positive atmosphere, there are some extra rules that apply to this section in addition to the general Notebook Forums rules. They are as follows:

1.)You need to have been a member of Notebook Forums for at least one month and have 25 quality posts in other forum sections before you are allowed to post in For Sale/Wanted
We want people to post here because they are part of the forums and not just to sell something and disappear.

2.)Each member is allowed up to a maximum of one for sale and one wanted thread at a time.
Multiple threads of the same type will be deleted or merged. You are allowed to delete your own threads in this section (go to “thread options” then “delete thread”) and expected to do so when items are sold or you start a new thread. If you would like a thread title changed, just ask smilepak, drlouis, Yang88She, or me (the section moderators), and we'll change it for you.

3.)Items posted For Sale must include an asking price

4.)Sales are only allowed for physical items (no account sales, password transfers, or online software sales of any kind without accompanying physical discs) currently in your possession

5.)Sales of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or any illegal or controlled substances is not allowed.
Illegal and counterfeit software is included in this category

6.)All trades are required to honor any rules and regulations of payment agencies being used
This includes services such as Paypal, Escrow.com, etc.

7.)Auctions or links to auctions (such as eBay) are not allowed

8.)Price checks or threads made to gauge interest in a product are not allowed in this section

9.)Any attempts to mislead or defraud members of this website are not allowed

10.)Bulk reselling is not allowed
If you have a store or e-business, or if you are buying in bulk and acting as a reseller, you cannot sell here.

11.)Any posts that insult or belittle another forum member (except in cases of fraud), criticize pricing of a product, or are unrelated to the sale or topic of the thread (collectively known as Thread Crapping) are not allowed

12.)Bumping of your own thread should be restricted to once in a 24-hour period

13.)Any items being sold on this forum must be listed on this forum. In other words, even if you listed an item on the For Sale sections of other forums or on eBay, Craigslist, etc., you must provide a description and asking price in your thread HERE, not just a link to your other listing. This shows respect for our forum members.

Any of these behaviors can result in post or thread deletion, removal of your right to post in this section, or temporary or permanent banning from Notebook Forums. All consequences are at the moderators' discretion. Please also note that you are expected to be aware of these rules when posting in this section. Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse for violating them.

If you see these behaviors happen, please use the “Report Post” option to report it to a moderator and/or send a moderator a private message to make them aware of the situation. Please do not act like a moderator when you're not. This often causes more problems than it solves.

It's come to our attention that there have been some instances of members subtly flaming sellers by making unsolicited and unhelpful insinuations about them in their threads. If you have legitimate advice to give to sellers, feel free to send them a private message. Otherwise, subtle flaming disguised as advice will be considered a threadcrap, and we will be handing out infractions for each one we find.

Since the new forum style, you may now submit a thread in this section via the Marketplace tab. We ask that for now only For Sale threads be submitted this way, in keeping with the current design.
