Odd Temp Readings

two quick questions. nothing major. no need to split hairs over.

1.
I got my Computer back from RMA a few weeks ago as you are all well aware, and i have noticed a trend in mobile meter, that wasent present before.

My MoBoard temps right now are at around 43-46 fluctuating which is normal when i am on the internet, when the computer is just sitting around, its usually around 41-44.

But what intrests me, is my hard drives right now are hovering between 58-63. I find that intresting, because of the high temerature diffrence between the drives and the motherboard.

It dosent appear to be a problem, its more of a curiosity than anything else.

The Sager 8790-S sits on a Antec cooling platform. It is used as a platform, except when i play games, then the antecs fans are turned on, and air is blown onto the bottom of the sager by the antec.

I did not notice that big a trend before RMAing.

2.

Sience RMAing i have noticed, when i close the screen, usually to plug something into the back, and the screen would be closed for like 30 seconds. the computer sometimes (95% of the time) dies, as if in a hard powerdown, like when you push the main powerbutton for 5 seconds, and force a powerdown with no normal windows shutdown. I mean it goes DOA. All outside powerlights fans and everything. then when i open the screen back up, the inside power button lights up blue, and the computer starts up as if nothing happened.
Its more of a nuscance than anything else. i checked the windows power settings, but if it were windows, it would shut down, not poweroff immidatly, and the AC powerlight would remain on. Because of this i just dont bother closing the screen anymore.

other than the two things i mentioned above. all works well.

I assume its no big deal on the two above things. i was just wondering if anyone else noticed or encountered the two situations, and if they had any suggestions.

thanks a bunch.
