Thinkpad T21 Inverter Question
Hi Guys,
I have a Thinkpad T21 and my screen is very very dim. I didn't want to buy the whole LCD to fix the problem first cuz it cost too much. So I purchased an Inverter from Ebay and will be replacing it once it comes in. Question: Where is the Inverter located? Behind the LCD or on the Laptop? Thanks. |

Not sure what changing the inverter will do. But I think if it is dim, the thing you do is go replace the CCFL(i.e. the backlight). I did it with my T22, it is as bright as a new one now.

Bison is right, replacing the inverter isn't going to make the screen brighter and you would be better off replaceing the back light (which are about $30 on ebay). Both the laptop and the inverter are located on the LCD, you have to remove the bezel to replace the inverter, and remove the LCD to replace the backlight.
