How do I disable the Bluetooth Information Exchanger Icon?

I recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro from my Dell CD. I then installed all of the drivers from the Dell website including the drivers for the Dell 350 Bluetooth adapter. After installing the Bluetooth drivers an icon appeard on my desktop labeled Bluetooth Information Exchanger. This is one of those 'system icons' that isn't a shortcut but rather has embedded functionality. If I delete the icon I get a warning message that it isn't just a shortcut and that I can restore the icon from the Control Panel, which is fine. So I delete the icon and then after a reboot the icon is back on the desktop. I can't find any way to stop this icon from being rebuilt every time I restart the computer.

I would like to know how Dell installs the drivers then as this is not a problem with the factory install. Also, I have noticed that I lose all bluetooth connectivity when coming out of stand-by. This never happened with the factory install of the drivers.

My System:
Inspiron 6000D
Bluetooth 350 Adapter
Using the Dell/Toshiba Bluetooth Stack drivers
Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal Module, v.v3.03.02D, A00

Thanks

DO you know how to use Hijack this? its a program that scans your registry and memory for programs that start up or will start up upon loading of windows. Run the program if you know what it is and list the log here then i will be able to find it. if you dont know then let me know here or PM so I can give you further instructions.

Try to right click on the BT icon in the system tray, and tell the BT to power off. That removed the icon when I tried it. However it comes back up when the BT is turned back on.

Try TweakUI in Powertoys for xp. Click on the desktop section and see if you can uncheck that folder (that is if it's listed but I believe that's only for window's standard folders).

Well Saints be praised!! That did it!! I can't tell you how annoying that icon has been and how wonderful it is to have it gone!

Thank you so much for the help!
