Driver Installation Help

I'm trying to upgrade the video driver on my i9300 (NVIDIA GeForce G0 6800), and no matter how many times I try, or what method I use the Device Manager still says I'm using the old driver.

What am I missing?

Where do you get a "new driver"? Haven't seen one for the GO 6800 (just the Ultra).

Tried that. Didn't help. It still shows the old driver.

As you sure? The only ones I found were dated March 16th on Dell's site and they're identical to the ones installed in my I9300 (v.6.14.10.6771, A00). Go by "version #" and not "date" when comparing old vs. new. Dell's dates seem to differ from the ones listed in my machine. According to the Device Manager on my machine, the version # is actually dated November 2004 (not March like Dell says on their site).

The reason you're always getting the same version is because there is only one version available.

The version still shows 6.7.7.1, even though I've installed 6.14.10.6771.... unless... the Device Manager is showing me just the last 4 digits with periods for some reason.

You got it. That's what mine shows too. 6771 is the latest and greatest (and only) version of the drivers out there.
