Well, that's an interesting tweak. Would be awesome if it gives 40+ minutes, though it will effectively disable your optical drive during that time..

On a power-saving note, 9300 users can command Sigma-Tel audio drivers to automatically manage power for your audio card. This will turn off the speakers if no sound was produced for a few seconds, and instantly turn it back on when a signal is recieved. I don't know how much power that will save, but there's an annoying popping sound every time the speakers power up again. Maybe it won't for you.

After managing my power settings more aggresively I am getting 2.5 hr now with the 6-cell. I turned the 6800 to min power and turned down the LCD a bit. I also think that over time the charge indicator becomes more accuarate.

How can I command the drivers to take advantage of these power saving features ?
