^ Sweden is awesome. Only nation in the world w/ a surplus of cash. You guys are doing something right!

And yeah, I get ~3 hours doing normal stuff on my NINE (9)-cell battery on my 9300.

Almost full brightness; I'd say 3/4 bright. WiFi on, BT off.

With the 6-cell, you get about 2 hours normally and 2.5 hours if you undervolt your CPU significantly.

I got 1.5hrs with the 6-cell, 2.75 hrs on the 9-cell playing dvds. The 9200 is vastly superior on battery compared to the 9300 with the go6800. My 9200 gets 3.5 hrs on 6-cell doing the same thing. However I've heard that the 9300 with the X300 is much better on battery.

Or even simpler, disable hardware (in device manager) that you're not using. For example, disabling the secondary IDE channel will net you 40+ additional minutes. One of the best tweaks I've ever encountered. I can then get a little over 3 hours on the 6-cell battery.

That's a good idea! Never thought of that....i guess it's good for those who are simply surfing or typing and not using the optical drive.

I am getting about 2hr on the 6 cell.

I turned down the power option on the 6800 to min on battery since the only thing I play when I am not plugged in is civ 3 (great laptop game! use keepres=1 in .ini to get widescreen game map) and it doesnt need much. Hoping that helps. Not spinning a disk, wireless doesnt make much difference like it does with my PDA.

Regards,

Artuk

with specially-configured settings (similar to the 'max battery' setting on quickset) I get around 4 hours with a 9-cell on a 9300 with normal use. It can get around 5.5 if you know what settings to tone down/eliminate.

I'm getting a little over 3 hours with my 9300 (with wireless on) and the x300 doing average work. I have the 6-cell, so it seems to me that it's about the same as the 9-cell with the 6800.
