hard drive failing?
ok so i am pretty sure that my hard drive is making this noise. it is louder than my fan, incredibly high pitched, so high that it hurts my ears/head. it just starting doing this a couple of days ago, and was wondering if anyone could give me some input. it doesn't start out making this noise right away either, it takes a few minutse before it starts. searched around and didn't come up wtih anything conclusive.
PROBLEM: high pitch sound just started happening needs to stop |

I've heard of a relationship between the high pitched scream and the USB bus. Try disabling them in device manager to see if that's it.
