What is Z71V Native resolution?
And what if the game does not have that resolution (only lower), to what should I set it? |

the res is 1680x1050, if the game doesnt support it use a lower wide screen res, and if that isnt there go to 1024x768

What is a "a lower wide screen res"
Or what are they? Also, anyone knows what is the difference in perfomance between 6600 in Z71V and ATI 9800 Pro 128 Mg for Desktops ? ATi is what I have on my Desktop and 6600 is what I will have in my Z71V as a replacement. |

1280x1024 is not widescreen.
1280x800 is 16:10 widescreen (what my panel does), and 1280x768 is 16:9 widescreen (what dvd's are in, and what some of the itty-bitty Fujitsu machines are). |

Well, you said 1400x1050 is the lower widescreen res, and it isn't, it is a normal 4:3 aspect ratio. However, if you turn off stretching, you can run 1400x1050 and just have a small black bar on each side.
The next one down it 1280x800, or 1280x768 like someone else said. I know my 20" dell panel runs those resolutions fine and they look good in HL2 (which supports them). Most games that have widescreen support do those resolutions in my experience.
