Question Possible adding Arctic Silver 5 to the 9860 Gpu?

Hi guys. I have my 9860 finally. but before using it i want to add some arctic silver 5 on the GPU and on the CPU. Is that possible? And how should i do it? And another thing : Should i keep that little paper shape metal thing which is on the cpu or not? thanks for any help.

My GPU went all the way up to 112 degress celsius, so I removed the little paper shape metal thing, and added a very tiny portion of arctic silver to the gpu, now it never runs above 88c (88c is after being on for more than 12 hours straight).

Can you guys offer some screen shots of what you did? Or maybe email them to me? The heat thing is an issues and it seems like you may have come across something here. Also, how are you getting these heat temps off the machine? Does the mb have temp sensors and your just using an app to read them?

which program you using for seeing the temps at the gpu?

the last i knew PcTorque was putting AS on there GPU and possibly the CPU also, you may want to check or ask PcTorque if this was done on yours or not. To do this you will want to go to the AS website, the small instructions are for the GPU and large are for the CPU.
