Can you replace the optical drive in a dell 9300?

Can i replace the optical drive in the dell 9300 w/o voiding the warranty?

I hope so because I've just done it.

Unless they're warped it shouldn't affect your warranty. Even if it does it's so easy to change it back they'll never notice. In other words: no reason to worry.

Ok...So when ordering my dell 9300 i want a DVD burner but i can hold off.But i just want to know that i can reaplce it w/o opening up the entire computer.

Oh yeah, changing the optical drive is a breeze and you don't have to open up anything. You just unscrew a single screw then push a little tap and voilą; it's outta there

Or, if you prefer, you can use the Dell guides which you can find at http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...0/sm/index.htm . I find them t o be quite good.
