Are you using Windows XP?
Another way to get to it is go to your control panel. Click on System icon. Click on Device Manager. In the list of all the devices, right click on the one with the display adapater and update it that way.

Ah, if you have not load any display drivers yet, then going to the control panel method will work for you.

thanks, i hope it'll work. Before I just installed the driver 77.72 from the 77.50 without uninstalling 77.50 first, and I was still encountering the same problem.
btw, could it be that my video card is overheating? |

Hey guys, first off having driver issues, posted in the general section instead. Sorry about that.
Secondly having a wierd thing with the keyboard. When I press Shift + 2 I am expecting the at symbol but what I really get is " and when I press Shift + " I am really getting the @ symbol. So basically my two keys are switched somehow. Anyone know anything about this?

That would explain why I get £ when I hit Shift + 3 but all the other keys are the same. But if it's a French Keyboard, why doesn't it have the £ symbol above the 3 instead of the pound symbol?

Just built mine
Just built my Z71V last week. Must say I am very impressed with this machibne. It games well, and I also use it to perform Nessus security scans (am a network security major). This means I am running windows xp, vmware, and running a nessus server in VMWARE on the same machine! This laptop does it very well!
Here are the specs: Intel Pentium 760 2 Gig DDR2 533 80 GiG SATA Hdd Internal a/b/g wireless Total cost was under $1700 at http://www.directron.com So far no real problems, no real worries. |

Is the Z71 Linux compatible
I was just on the phone with ASUS support and they told me there is no support for Linux on the Z71. What distros of Linux work on the Z71? I've been trying to install Fedora core 4 and I can't get past the install screen when I get a kill kernal message - not syncing kill init. Has anyone else had any trouble or success with installing Linux OSs?
