The high performance settings seem to yield a 100-200 difference. I've propped my notebook up higher, so I'll again be an idiot and play the "dangerous frequencies" game.

Yeah. Stock settings went up to 4707, overclocked up to 5138 or something. And even with my notebook set up in what should be an even better thermal position, it still screwed up on the CPU tests (Yes, I know that seems odd.) at 300/600.

prince, they're controlled BY 3DMark, so its not like they're going to be on. Anyways, I want to put some AS5 or one of those thermal pads on the GPU so I can cool it down! ;_;

EDIT: Yuri, what is this optimal cooling solution? O:-)

I lifted the ass of my notebook. The attempt at improving it was lifting the notebook higher.

And I'll point out that the High Performance Settings did seem to cause a noticeable drop in image quality.

It is also important to post the version of nvidia driver you are using. Each version have different effects.

There is never a best driver. Some will see good performance with one and other with another.

You go with which ever you see is good for you.
