I'm more excited about getting gigabit between my file server and my laptop for browsing my 50GB photo library (10mb raw files take a LONG time to pass over 100 Mbps).
The wireless on that particular Dlink does not work that great with Atheros chipset according to Tomshardware. For best result with this gigabyte card best got get a Dlink with "XR".

Been using the GN-WIAG for a while now...connects at 108Mbps every time. It was about $20 cheaper than the GN-WIAG02.

I'm using a DLink 624 router.

Just an fyi.

I have a DLing 624 Router now, but no GN-WIAG. Now I am sold! Gonna search for online retailer and buy. Where did you buy it from SLCYA?

PS, I think we owe alot to Cornholio for the great info.

Just got the chance to try out the GigaByte for the first time and it picked up four wireless networks in my vicinity as opposed to only one picked up by the Intel. I haven't actually tried to connect/use it yet as none of the networks are unsecured, but it sure is a good start can't wait to try it out downtown Oslo though...

Actually, the problems they had were with the card and the client software and various configuration options. In the end, he said he tried a number of routers and couldn't quite get the card working properly, but the router had a respectable showing.

Not that it matters to me, I don't use the turbo modes, etc. but it would be nice to take advantage of it.

I haven't done enough wireless testing with the 2200 in my 9200 yet, nor the 2915 in my XPS2 (I'm using the gigabit wired link), so I'm not sure this card will really give me some bang for my buck, but I'm going to spend more time with it over the next month to get an idea of connectivity.

So far it seems pretty good and reliable with the 2200, but time will tell.

If you guys want to spend alittle more money, I got the newest version of the card on EBAY. AR5006 which has the newest technology for G+B and even has A (Super A). Basically supports all wireless technologies, for all those who had the Intel 2915. I bought from this guy, my card is coming today. Below is the link:
