Acer Ferrari 4005 Gaming Performance & Linux

Hello everybody!
I'm planning to buy the new Acer Ferrari but
before i do so i'd like to know how good (or bad)
you can play games with it.

I already read the previews in the Acer section
(thats why i decided to buy one ) but i still have
some questions:

With which resolutions/quality settings can you
play the following games:
* Battlefield 2 (everybody is saying something else)
* Half Life
* Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
* Far Cry (not that important)

And the second question:
Is it Linux compatible?
It's not listet here on linux-on-laptops, but there are
a lot of acers -> good sing?

I'd be happy if someone could tell me.

Thank you in advance

//edit: spelling

I've played the following games at acceptable frame rates in the given resolutions.

Counter-Strike (HL) : 1680x1050
HL2 (demo): 1680x1050
Far Cry (demo): 1280x800
DoomIII: 1024x768

Guess HL2 runs very well on ATI cards.
