No, but I sure wish I did! I live in the Twin Cities and it would have been nice to see different options in person instead of doing everything online when I bought my computer. Oh, well. It all worked out okay, anyway.

So sorry, I can't help you.

Excellent post, but could you note which resellers carry the barebones variety as I have found that some won't do this. Thanks.

RJ Tech is a good place to get barebones, and they also post assembly guides for the notebooks they sell. ISTNC and Geared2Play also sell barebone systems, as I recall.

C9 Tech added to ASUS Where to Buy

Rob, you can finally take off the * next to our name...

http://usa.asus.com/wheretobuy.aspx

I like how they used the wrong logo... bah.
Should be fixed soon [hopefully] by ASUS.

The admins seem to still be working on NBF because I can't edit, but as soon as I can, I will.

Asus has updated their official list! Congratulations to our own c9tech, which is now officially a "where to buy" partner!

The much-maligned Asus Direct, now renamed All Asus, also managed to secure an official spot.

The other new stores on Asus' official list are:
American Computer Solutions, Ash Mor Computers, Case-mod, Fido Computers, and Meridian Computer Systems.

Any Asus resellers in Quebec, Canada? Seems there are a lot of them in Ontario, and none in Quebec!

Also this may not belong here, but how does it work if I order a laptop from a US reseller? Do I need to pay taxes, and customs to get it shipped here in canada?

You could probably just order from one in Ontario and they'd ship it to you, but to the best of my knowledge there aren't any in Quebec. Sorry!

Regarding additional expenses to ship from the USA, you might want to check with the individual resellers, because they may have slightly different policies.

So whats the deal... all of the "non G,P,or P+" companies not reccomended to buy from? I am looking at a barebones z70va so I can run a 725 in it since no one offers them as an option from RJTech.com. Are they ok?
