Benchmarks??

What exactly is a benchmark and how do I do one with my comp?

Depends, if you have a gaming computer then you can run 3dmark, for overall speed run something like pc mark or SiSoft Sandra has a lot of options.

I just downloaded the Si Software one, what kind of benchmark should I perform? Also is there any risk to my computer when doing this? If so what should I do to to protect it? Any help would be great. Thanks

Not really any risk, you should try the cpu benchmark, I think there are two different ones. The only risk is overheating, but that shouldn't be a problem.

HAHAHAHAH yea, but thats not your fault you just can't support some of the new direct x and shaders, no biggy.
